基本上，自行下載一堆檔案安裝頗麻煩，建議使用 Web Platform Installer 來安裝 Windows Azure 開發所需的任何元件：

下面是在 Windows Server 2008 R2 + Visual Studio 2012 + SQL Server 2008 R2 + SQL Server 2012 上安裝，所下載的 Web Platform Installer 是 4.0 版 (如果是更早的 OS 有能能下載 3.0 版)

(下圖) 啟動 Visual Studio 2012 後，建立一個 Cloud 專案，在 ServiceConfiguration.Cloud.cscfg、ServiceConfiguration.Local.cscfg、ServiceDefinition.csdef等檔案中可以看到 schemaVersion 版本為 2012-10.1.8，表示為2012年10月釋出的1.8版。
